Job description

Location: Boon Lay, West Region

Job Type: Full time

Salary Range: $3,000-$4,000

What you will be doing

Talent Acquisition & Retention

  • Support recruitment process including liaising with managers for effective recruitment

  • Manage posts on job hiring portals

  • Liaise with schools for internship programs

  • Conduct screening & selection with managers

  • Develop and execute HR strategies to improve talent retention

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Process payroll & payroll related claims e.g. overtime in a timely manner

  • Support annual appraisal, promotion and wage review exercises

  • Support annual review process for various types of insurance (e.g. Hospitalization/Surgical, Workmen Compensation, etc.)

Learning & Development:

  • Jointly develop yearly training plans for employees with managers

  • Assist in training and development programs and government grant applications

Employee Engagement:

  • Drive sucessfully onboarding experiences for employees

  • Manage offboarding process and conduct exit interviews for employees

  • Assist with organisation of company events i.e. Quarterly Townhall, Annual D&D, CNY Lohei, etc

Statutory Reporting & Filing:

  • Manage statutory reporting & filing for government agencies, eg. Work Pass adminisatraion

  • Manage submission for government-paid maternity & childcare leave, make-up claims & IR21

Others:

  • Support HR employment life cycle for employees, i.e. promotion, transfer, re-designation, conversion & resignation

  • Update organizational charts, contact lists, and manage employee inquiries.

  • Assist with ad hoc HR matters upon request from directors

Job requirements

What we are looking for

  • Minimum Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration

  • Good knowledge in Singapore Employment Act and CPF Act

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Attention to detail, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • At least 1-2 years of relevant HR experiences in shipping industry would be an advantage

  • Past experience with HR software would be an advantage

  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates will be an advantage

  • Ability to start work immediately will be advantageous
